For more than a decade, New Thought Vermont has offered retreats, seminars, book study/discussion groups, film series, workshops, and classes, as well as pastoral care, spiritual direction and counseling, allowing participants to maintain their ongoing connection with their home denominational or spiritual affiliation, while continuing their spiritual study and enhancing their spiritual practice.

The primary purpose has been to form a community of like-minded people to come together to share and support one another on a practical path of spiritual development. Based in Weston, Vermont, a number of these programs have been provided at and/or in cooperation with Old Parish Church and the Weston Community Church on the Hill.

The foundation of New Thought Vermont was laid from 1996 to 2002 with guest presentations and worship services on metaphysical and mystical teachings, principles and practices. The organization was established in 2004 with regular services offered from 2004 to 2014.
Now, while no longer offering scheduled worship services, New Thought Vermont continues to offer unique retreats, seminars, workshops, classes and discussion groups for personal and professional growth. Local individuals, as well as nationally and internationally recognized leaders, provide  nurturing, powerful and enlightening perspectives.

We also sponsor spiritual direction and other initiatives that support community ministry and outreach for the betterment of humanity. Such initiatives include retreats for parents and providers serving children and adults with disabilities, training for therapists and providers who work with individuals with mental health needs and those with disabling conditions, community classes in movement, music and the expressive arts for personal growth and wellness, and related offerings.
